The mobile phone market has been growing relentlessly at the same time that society adopted new communication and cultural forms. Today, the Internet is what shapes many of our interpersonal relationships; and telecommunications play a fundamental role in the development of any social, work or economic activity. In this context, and coinciding with the celebration of International Mobile Phone Day (April 3), the web comparator Idealo.es has carried out a study to analyze the evolution of smartphones from different perspectives. More demand and more price One of the main conclusions drawn from the study is that smartphones are 75% more expensive than 5 years ago.
In parallel, demand has grown more than 244% since 2016. This dizzying pace of buying and selling in the sector is explained by the increasingly shorter useful life of devices.
